The next 13th, 14th and 15th of December will be held in Calvià the first edition of the “FICTION MALLORCA PITCH”.

The projects selected to be analyzed by a distinguished panel of Spanish fiction professionals in a “pitch” format are

“have a strong feminine and Balearic accent and have been presented by creators from both the Balearic Islands and other latitudes. Seven of the 12 projects selected, more than 58%, are led or co-led by women. More than 58% of the selected projects are by creators from Mallorca and 25% of the selected projects are by creators from Ibiza.

Leading Spanish audiovisual agents from public broadcasters such as RTVE, TV3, IB3, A Punt TV and the production companies Portocabo, Bambú Producciones, Plano a Plano and Belle Films will assess how these series and films can be brought to the screen.

In addition to the
pitching,
the Fiction Mallorca Pitch Forum, which will be held between December 13 and 14 at the Sa Societat Theatre in Calvià, also includes three audiovisual talks:

• (1) Calvià in fiction’.Analysis of several film and television productions that have passed through the municipality of Calvià and the locations they have used. By Andreu Fullana, promoter of the event and expert in film tourism.
• (2) ‘Co-production and the AIEs’ (Economic Interest Groupings): the paths of television fiction co-production as a new financing model. By Alfonso Blanco, executive producer of Portocabo and member of the International Television Academy.

• (3) ‘The representation of space in the locative turn of fiction’.: a round table aimed at scriptwriters, producers and people in charge of directing audiovisual projects. Topics such as locations and the importance of narrative space, among others, will be discussed.. Participants:
